About Me

ERKUT ER
Born in Fatih, April 1989. Originally from Erzincan/Kemaliye.
My interest in photography started when I saw Mr. Lütfü Özgünaydın with his camera in his hand in a village in my hometown and looked at his photographs. Later, I was shaped by examining the works of Kemaliye masters such as Sıtkı Fırat and Şeref Özbey, who were also raised in the same lands. I became more interested in photography when I bought my first camera while studying at Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School. While studying at Yıldız Technical University, I joined the university's photography club YTÜFOK and got a solid start in amateur photography. I had the opportunity to work with my very valuable teacher Dora Günel, who contributed a lot to me, in YTÜFOK Fkare photography trainings. The search for self-discovery that started with the documentary photography/photo story workshop has not yet come to an end. Again in YTÜFOK trainings, I received Press Workshop training from M. Pınar Dağ and then photography training from M. Bülent Abacı and continued my training. Today, I am interested in documentary photography, and I also do travel and street photography and write about my travels. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I scribble a few lines. By the way, I work as a Surveying and Cadastre Engineer at the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre. In short,
